Greens 1.4: Made for iPhone Duo, plus new achievements
Greens 1.4 is out: iPhone Duo refinements, eight new achievements, saved scorecards and bug fixes.
Last week Apple featured Greens for the iPhone Duo launch, and a lot of new players started putting on a Duo. This update is for them, and for everyone who's been playing since the start and wants something bigger to chase.
iPhone Duo, in every pose
The aiming controls are fine-tuned and fixed for every pose, so a full-power putt feels the same whether the Duo is open, closed, standing up or sideways. Holes are sized and centered better on each screen, with the buttons out of the way. In laptop pose, play and the buttons sit on the lower screen, and the upper screen is just for watching the hole.
Eight new achievements
Some players have been at this a while, so here's something to grind for: 50 and 200 rounds, 100 and 500 holes in one, 500 holes with one ball, one hole played 100 times, the Daily Three on thirty different days, and a putt off a windmill sail. Already past one? It's yours the next time you play.
Any ball you've played 500 holes with also wears a little gold star now.
Every best round, saved
Your best rounds now keep their scorecards. Tap one in Stats to see every hole, the ball you used, and share it. You can share your scorecard at the end of any round, too, and in the House Leaderboard, tap a player's score to see their full card for that course or today's Daily Three.
Also new
- Restart a round from the scorecard.
- Your first hole in one on each hole gets a bigger celebration.
- The Daily Three now changes on Game Center's day, so everyone everywhere plays the same three holes and every score lands on the right board.
- iPad: holes resized to fit better.
- Fixes: "HOLE IN ONE" no longer gets cut off with the iPhone turned sideways, and buttons and the hole fit better in iPhone landscape.
