Greens was featured by Apple for the iPhone Duo launch
On the day iPhone Duo launched, Apple featured Greens in its list of great games for the first foldable iPhone, right next to mega hit games like Crossy Road Castle and Heads Up!
I still can't quite believe I'm writing this. When I started building Greens: Mini-golf, I set one goal for it: make a game good enough that Apple would want to feature it. On Friday, the day iPhone Duo came out, it actually happened.

How Greens started
I started making apps this summer.
Greens began one night in September. I wanted a simple mini golf game that had intuitive aiming/release controls and clean 2D graphics. A lot of games on the App Store are full of ads and bloat, I wanted a calm course and a good putt.
Greens launched on September 30 with 72 holes on eight courses. Since then it's grown fast:
- 1.1 doubled it to 144 holes on sixteen courses and added iPad.
- 1.2 made every hole aceable and built the game around iPhone Duo.
- 1.3 made Greens free to play, with one purchase for the theme courses.
- 1.3.1 out the morning of the Duo launch, with minor bug fixes.
Launch day
On Friday morning, October 23rd, I opened the App Store and saw the Greens icon in the Today story about apps and games for iPhone Duo. Then I found it in the editors' list, Great Games on iPhone Duo, next to games like Crossy Road Castle and Heads Up!

Thank you
Thank you to everyone who has played Greens, sent me a note, or challenged a friend on the Daily Three.
There's a lot more coming, including more polish for iPhone Duo and new courses on the way!
