Greens 1.5: Six new courses for fall
Greens 1.5 is out: six new courses for fall, a new ball to earn, and a place for the Daily Three in Stats.
Fresh greens for fall. I've added six new courses, which brings Greens to 198 holes on 22 courses. Three are free fall Classics and three are new theme courses in the full game.
Three fall Classics
Maple Grove, Orchard Hill and Harvest Farm come after Village Green, each opening when you finish the one before. Maple Grove is a walk in the park with fall leaves all over the lawn, and it ends on a green shaped like a maple leaf. Orchard Hill is apple picking on the hill. Harvest Farm has hay bales and pumpkins, and finishes in a corn maze.
Three new theme courses
Jungle Temple, Bowling Alley and Seaside Cliffs are in the full game, and like the other theme courses, they open with medals: 100, 110 and 120.
Jungle Temple has swinging logs, a river and a waterfall. On Bowling Alley you knock down the pins, and they stay down. Seaside Cliffs is all about the wind, which bends your roll, with waterfalls off the rocks. Tailwind Jump adds a ramp that sends the ball flying.
Jade, a new ball to earn
Jade is for finishing 22 different courses, which is every course in the game right now. It may take you a while, and that's just fine.
The Daily Three, in Stats
The Daily Three has its own place in Stats now: this week's scores, your streak, your best round all time and your average for the month. Tap the best round for its card (a tie shows them all), or the month's average for every card behind it. The Daily Three card in the clubhouse also says when today's three end.
And if you ace all three holes of a Daily Three, that's a Perfect Daily, a new achievement. Tap any achievement in Stats to see when and how you earned it. Each one now wears its own Game Center badge.
New medals
The medals have new art all through the game: on your scorecard, under every hole on a course's card, and in Stats. And every ball now rolls as it travels.
Also new
- 500 holes: a ball that gets there has its own celebration now, gold star and all.
- What's New: a card shows what's new when you update, and Settings > What's New in Greens brings it back any time.
- Play a Round: tap any hole on a course's card to practice it.
The new courses will be there whenever you like.
